~VICTORY OF TEARS OVER DEATH~
A loved one's spirit takes flight and dies,
We are overwhelmed by deep sorrowful cries.
Tears of sadness cascade like falling rain,
Releasing death's sting of searing pain!
Memories remain of a loved one's life sweet,
Grasped tightly in death's bitter hand of defeat.
A veil of darkness we don as a shroud.
Lamentations rest 'midst a mournful cloud.
Ears turn to winds to hear a familiar voice.
We plead "Would you return if given a choice?
Questioning "Why are you apart from me,
Abandoning me to experience misery?"
Our heart's dream they remain with us yet.
We think of missed opportunities, desires unmet.
We yearn to reach out to grasp their hands,
Drawing spirits back into "Living Land".
We plead, "O where, where have you gone,
Your absence causes me to sing a lonely song.
Do you dwell on the far side of a midnight sky,
Are you aware of my mournful cry?"
All spirits will pass as their time draws nigh,
Some a slow death, and able to bid us goodbye.
Others cross quickly as they bid farewell,
Leaving us many sentiments yet to tell.
We, left behind, must carry on each day.
Let us cope by lifting our voices to Heaven to pray.
Aware that our God has fulfilled His plan,
As He closes the gap their life did span.

Drown not in a sea of sorrows.
Hold onto hope of waiting tomorrows.
Embrace promises of what is to come.
Heal heart and spirit of all that is numb.
Welcome victory of tears over death!
